Tips to prepare
- Wash hands frequently with soap and water
- Use alcohol-based hand cleaners if soap and water are not available
- Cover your coughs and sneezes with tissues, and dispose of promptly
- Avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth
- If you do feel ill, stay home and limit contact with others
Tips to Recover
- Keep surfaces clean by wiping them down with a disinfectant
- Help destroy the flu virus with heat (167-212°F [75-100°C])
- Swap out any materials you used while sick that can be disposed of or washed:
- Toothbrush
- Pillow case and bed sheets
- Apparel
